Fit & Lace Guide

A refined hairline begins with accurate measurements. Every HUGYOO style is available in Small, Medium and Large, with your choice of Light, Medium or Deep lace tone. Use this guide before ordering and repeat the fitting before cutting the lace.

We choose lace and cap construction around the haircut, parting position and everyday wear. With BareVeil HD Swiss Lace™, our focus is on a natural-looking hairline and a comfortable fit. We aim to put value into details you use, with thoughtful construction and considered pricing.

Lace area: 12 × 5 inches. Parting is limited to the actual lace area; the cut and styling direction also affect the finished look.

Measure Before You Choose

You will need a flexible measuring tape, a mirror and hair prepared as flatly as you intend to wear it beneath the wig. Braids, wraps and wig caps add volume, so measure over the same foundation you plan to use.

Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the head. Do not pull it tight enough to compress the skin. Measure each line twice and record the larger consistent result.

Circumference

Place the tape at the front hairline, take it above one ear, around the nape, above the other ear and back to the starting point. Keep the tape on the line where the wig cap will sit.

Front to Back

Measure from the center of the front hairline, over the crown, to the lowest point at the nape where the cap will rest.

Ear to Ear

Measure from the top of one ear, across the crown, to the top of the other ear. Do not measure across the forehead.

Use all three measurements. Circumference is the first reference, but front-to-back and ear-to-ear measurements help reveal whether a cap may feel too shallow, too deep or too narrow across the crown.

If you measure between two sizes, below 21 inches, between 22.75 and 23 inches, or above 24 inches, email support@hugyoohair.com before cutting the lace. Include all three measurements and a description of how your natural hair will be prepared. We can help you assess the closest option, but fit can only be confirmed through an unaltered try-on.

How the HUGYOO Cap Is Designed

Every HUGYOO wig includes:

• A lace area for a refined hairline and parting within its actual boundary
• A pre-plucked hairline to reduce the amount of customization needed
• Bleached knots for a softer-looking transition at the lace
• An adjustable band to fine-tune security
• Internal combs for optional anchoring
• 180% density for a full, balanced silhouette

The wig is designed for glueless wear. A secure result should come from selecting the closest cap size, preparing the natural hair evenly and adjusting the band with restraint. The band should support the fit, not compensate for a cap that is significantly too large or too small.

Internal combs are optional. Place them only where they feel comfortable and secure, ideally against a stable foundation rather than delicate edges. Stop using a comb if it pulls, causes tenderness or places repeated tension on the same area.

Choosing Your Lace Tone

Light, Medium and Deep describe the lace tone, not a person or a fixed complexion category. Choose the tone that appears closest to the skin where the lace will actually sit.

1. Stand near a window in indirect natural daylight.
2. Look at the skin along the center and sides of your hairline, and compare it with your neck or chest if your face is wearing makeup.
3. Consider undertone as well as depth. Warm, cool and neutral undertones can change how the same lace appears.
4. Review unfiltered product images on more than one screen when possible.
5. If uncertain, contact us before ordering and include a makeup-free photograph taken in natural light. We can offer guidance, although screen and lighting differences prevent an exact remote guarantee.

Do not apply lace tint, foundation, powder, spray, glue or other product during the return-eligible try-on. These can stain the lace and make the change irreversible. Fine-tune the tone only after you have decided to keep the wig.

Check the Fit Before Cutting the Lace

Try the wig on with clean hands, clean skin and a clean wig cap if you use one. Keep all tags and security markers attached.

A balanced fit should:

• Feel secure without pressure, pain or headache
• Sit flat through the crown without a large pocket of excess space
• Reach the intended nape position without riding upward
• Place the lace evenly at the natural hairline
• Remain stable with the adjustable band set comfortably

Signs the cap may be too small:

• Persistent pressure at the temples, crown or nape
• The cap rides backward or will not settle into position
• The front hairline is pulled behind its natural placement
• The band must be left fully loose and the fit still feels painful

Signs the cap may be too large:

• Excess cap fabric folds or gathers at the crown or nape
• The wig shifts with normal head movement
• The hairline lifts even when the band is reasonably adjusted
• The band must be tightened to an uncomfortable extreme

Do not use adhesive to disguise a basic sizing problem. Remove the wig and contact us while it remains uncut, clean and unaltered.

Before Any Permanent Adjustment

Confirm all of the following:

• The product style and color match your order.
• The selected length and texture are correct.
• The cap size is comfortable across all three measurement lines.
• The lace tone works along your hairline.
• The lace and cap show no damage or irregularity.
• You are satisfied with the overall look in natural light.

Only then should you remove the wig, trim the lace in small controlled sections and begin styling. Cutting the lace, tinting it, applying adhesive, washing, heat styling, dyeing, cutting the hair or altering the cap makes the wig ineligible for return as an unused item.
